Invite your friends and have a fun day of sunshine, flowers, coloring and delicious snacks!

Make Your Own Serving Tray

What You Will Need:
  • Plain wooden or plastic trays from craft store
  • Paint, glitter, stencils, stickers - whatever you and your friends want to decorate you trays with
Directions:
  • Gather all of your materials so that you and your friends can all decorate your trays together.
  • You want to do this activity first so that there is enough time for your trays to dry before you use them.
  • If you choose to paint your trays you may want to do this outside so you don't have to worry about making a mess!
  • When you are done decorating your trays leave them to dry. Have fun and be creative!

Pretty Pansy Planters

Remember that flowers need plenty of water, sunlight, and oil to grow. Check your plants everyday to watch them grow!

What You Will Need:
  • 1 dixie cup each for you and your friends
  • Potting soil
  • 1 packet of seeds will work for your group - Pansies and Marigolds work best for this type of project
  • Markers
  • Spray bottle
Directions:
  1. Write your name on the bottom or side of you dixie cup. Add a cute design or sticker so that you can tell your plant apart from your friend's.
  2. Fill each dixie cup 3/4 full with the potting soil.
  3. Press one seed down in to the soil of each cup. Make sure that your seed is completely covered with soil. The farther down the better!
  4. Take turns lightly misting your seeds with the spray bottle until the soil is damp.
  5. Set the cups on a sunny windowsill where your friends can pick them up at the end of the party.

Curly Ribbon Headbands

Look like a fairy princess with these magical headbands. These are the perfect accessory for a warm spring day.

What You Need
  • Spools of your favorite colored curling ribbon- you can help you mom or dad pick these out at your local craft store
  • Scissors ( will your parent's help)
  • Packet of elastic headbands
  • Several pens, pencils, colored pencils
Directions
  1. With your parents help, cut the curling ribbon into long strips- at least 10 inches for the best results.
  2. Wrap your strips of ribbon tightly around your pencil or pen-tying it off a the end. This will make your ribbon curly! 6-10 ribbons should do the trick!
  3. By the time you are done wrapping your last ribbon, he first ones should be done. Untie them and watch them curl up.
  4. Tie the ribbons in a knot at the end to your elastic headbands- for more curls, add more ribbons.
  5. Wear your headbands for the rest of the party and pretend that you are all princesses or fairies

Hula-hoop, Hopscotch, and Jump Rope Contests

What You Need
  • Sidewalk chalk
  • Jump Ropes
  • Hula hoops
  • A flat, even surface
  • Stopwatch
Directions
  • Lay out enough chalk, jumps ropes, and hula hoops so that everyone can participate in an activity at the same time.
  • Draw out the hopscotch pattern and a score board with your friend's names on your driveway.
  • If don't have a driveway you can keep track of your times on a piece of paper.
  • You don’t have to keep score, just have fun!
  • Recite your favorite jump rope rhymes or have a sing-along while hula hooping for some extra fun!
